Preliminary Training Course for departmental 43rd sergeant group promoted on seniority and merit base, was started on 15.02.2021 at Angunakolapelessa Prison and led by the subdivision of the Research and Training Center that was built recently at the Angunakolapelessa Prison.<\/p>\n
117 officers were qualified for the training and they were expected to divide into two groups and trained. The first group consists of 67 officers with 7 female officers.<\/p>\n
Inauguration ceremony of 14 days training course was held ceremonially under the patronage of the Commissioner General of Prisons, Mr.Thushara Upuldeniya, the Additional Commissioner General of Prisons, Mr. Thusitha Uduwara, the Director of the Training Center, Mr. M. F. Lahir, the Superintendent of Angunakolapelessa Prison, Mr. S. K. Palletenna, the Assistant Superintendent of Angunalokapelessa Prison, Mr. Ajith Palliyage, Chief Jailor of the Training Center, H.D.K.N. Premawansa, Chief Drill Instructor, Amith Gunawardana and several officers participated to the occasion. The Commissioner General of Prisons made the inauguration speech starting the sergeant training.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
