New Library and Counseling Center for Weeravila Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Center

With the aim of uplifting education level and promoting use of books among inmates detained at the Weeravila Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Center, a new library and counseling center were opened on 10.06.2023 under the leadership of Commissioner General of Prisons, Mr.Thushara Upuldeniya.

Additional Commissioner General of Prisons, Mr.Chandana Ekanayake, Commissioner of Prisons (Supply and Services), Mr.K.A.S. Kodithuvakku, Superintendent of Prison Headquarters, Mr.Gamini B. Dissanayake, Superintendent of Weerawila Open Prison Camp-Mr.Mahanama and many other prison officers participated to the event.
