Ceremony of unveiling the pinnacle of newly constructed Stupa at Open Prison Camp- Watareka

The Commissioner General of Prisons unveiled the pinnacle of stupa and burial of relics in stupa constructed at the Open Prison Camp-Watareka at the auspicious moment of Uduwap Full Moon Poya Day on 26.12.2023 at 10.11 a.m. with blessings of community of monks.

By carrying out this charitable work, an afternoon almsgiving was performed for the community of monks and Commissioner of Prisons, (Industries), Mr.B.M.U.G.A.K.Basnayaka, Superintendent of Prisons, Mr.Wasantha Kumara Def, Superintendent of Rehabilitation, Mr.Jayantha Adasuriya,  Superintendent of Galle Prison, Mr.Pulina Karanarathna, Assistant Prison Superintendent, Mr.Prasad Premathilaka, Chairman of Prisoner Welfare Association Mr.A.V.Thilak, Divisional Secretary- Homagama, Mr.D.A.D. Chinthaka, Chief Jailer, Mr.Buddhika Perera and some officials from the Watareka Prison Camp and local residents participated to the ceremony.
