According to a program that inquires into requirements of prison inmates island wide and provides solutions, the Hon. Minister of Justice and President Attorney at Law, Mr.Ali Sabri, went on an observational tour of Anuradhapura Prison to inquire about issues faced by inmates.
Minister had a discussion with prison officers as well as prisoners about their issues and advised officers to give necessary solutions to them.
Hon.Minister of Lands, Mr.S.M.Chandrasena, Hon. State Minister Shehan Semasinghe, Secretary to the Ministry of Prison Management and Prisoners Rehabilitation, retired Major General. Mr.V.R.De Silva, Commissioner General of Prisons, Mr.Thushara Upuldeniya, and some prisons officers participated to the occasion.
