The first workshop organized for Senior Prisons officials on “Professional Excellence” was held at Cinnamon Lake Colombo on Thursday, 18th June 2020. Secretary to Ministry of Defense Retired Major General Kamal Gunarathne, Secretary to Ministry of Justice & Human Rights Mrs Marina Mohammed, Commissioner General of Prisons Mr Thushara Upuldeniya, Guest speaker Deputy Inspector General of Police (Legal, Disciplinary & Conduct Range) Mr Ajith Rohana, Speaker Mr Dammika Kalapuge participated to the Inaugural Session. Commissioners of Prisons, Sectional heads of Prison Headquarters, Senior Superintendents of Prisons, Superintendents of Prisons, Assistant Superintendents of Prisons attached to island-wide Prison institutions have participated for this Workshop. DIG Mr Ajith Rohana was delivered a lecture on how to build the Image of Department of Prisons followed by a lecture on Professional Excellence by Mr Dhammika Kalapuge.
